Rachel you would think that only happen to girls, but that is far from the truth, we are no different, recently I found out that a girl that I was courting 2 years ago is getting married, and although it was me who ended the relationship (and that in itself is a whole story), and I thought I had moved on, when I heard the news it was a strange feeling, not a good one that is, why is it that we are like that, we are just selfish, just as you say in your post, my initial attitude was: "Oh well, good luck" (with a very satirical tone), why could not I be happy for her? I mean we have not even talked in over a year, it could be perhaps because she is getting married before me, it could be that it just hurts my pride, whatever it is I am determined to fight it, the Word tells us to rejoice with those who rejoice, I know that is not in me, but I know that is in Him and if I give Him room He will do what He needs to do in my heart to be able to honestly say: "Congratulations" from my heart, not just from my lips, He is faithful!
Thank you very much for your posts, they are very encouraging.
Have a blessed week.
